Mom & Dad got out this morning and came to Lily's soccer game. It was GREAT having him there. Lily got her first goal and ran over and said "That one was for you Poppy!" Pretty cute!!
He started his chemo pill, and is pretty tired from the radiation, but we are all just praying that his body is accepting the treatments. Thanks for your continued prayers!
It is so great to see everyone smiling! Robert, you look real good & look like you feel pretty good! You are still on our prayer list-we won't be taking you off any time soon, either! Oh, here's another answered prayer-after you stealing our preacher, Mark Taylor, God has sent us one-Ryan Inlow will be our preacher as of Nov. 16, 2008-praise God! He went to OCU-maybe you've heard of him. Anyway, we are very happy. Keep on truckin' as they say- We Love You all very much! George & Lori
Well, you're looking almost normal! Glad to see it. If you ever want to try something weird and cheap, ask me about hydrogen peroxide. Dale 970-260-0456
Quick Update: Bob was diagnosed with multiple myeloma on September 10, 2008. Some of the tumors were on his spine. Part of his spine was removed, and he has recovered from that surgery quite well. The chemo & radiation have started and we are praying that his body accepts the treatments, and God frees his body of the cancer!
This is his faithful journey...
God is Good - 2 year Celebration
What is Multiple Myeloma?
Multiple myeloma is a cancer of your plasma cells, a type of white blood cell present in your bone marrow. Plasma cells normally make proteins called antibodies to help you fight infections.
In multiple myeloma, a group of abnormal plasma cells (myeloma cells) multiplies, raising the number of plasma cells to a higher than normal level. Since these cells normally make proteins, the level of abnormal proteins in your blood also may go up. Health problems caused by multiple myeloma can affect your bones, immune system, kidneys and red blood cell count.
God is Good!
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
Mark 12:30
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.
Philippians 4:13
I can do everything through him who gives me strength.
