One Week Later

Well one week ago today, my mom called me with good news...dad was getting in for his MRI to find out what was causing his horrible back pain. About three hours later we found the answer and our joy turned to shock, and then to fear.

God has given us many answers this week...

We were fearful that the tumor on the spine couldn't be removed. It could be!
We prayed it wasn't cancer. It was cancer, BUT plasmacytoma's are highly treatable.
We thought there was a mass in his lung as well. There wasn't!
We feared he would lose the use of his legs. He hasn't!

We know God answers prayers! He may not always answer like we would want, but we feel blessed that He has watched over us and heard our prayers!

We couldn't have made it this week without you all. Thank you so much for taking care of us.

God is always good! ALWAYS!

Our prayers continue to go up to The Lord and we know that His purpose is at work in all things! In addition to our Church, some of my Christian friends from work are also praying for you Unc Bob so just know that we love you and that there are armies of Christians who are praying for you, and your family, each and every day!

”But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings…”

Miss Janae', It was so nice talking to you last night. You have done such a great job keeping evryone informed & taking care of your mom, too. Don't you have a husband & 2 kids or something!HA I know that Damon has been so helpful & supportive as well. We are so very proud of you! As far as a medal for your mom, I think of Proverbs 31 "A Wife of noble character" that is definitely Debbie. Remind her to take care of herself-I know you are. What a blessing it is each day to hear such great news of Robert's progress! Keep it up Robert! We praise God every day & We love you all very much!! Uncle George & Aunt Lori

All of Debbie's ladies at Mabel Bassett send their love and prayers your way! We praise Jesus, we exalt and thank Him that He can heal all things. We know that in His Name you can find healing. His power is unlimited and we trust in Him completely. We ask God that your pain be taken away, that you may return to His full service. Though we've never met we love you as you are our brother in Christ.
In Him,
Benita Hamblin
and all Deb's students at Mabel's
p.s. cool scar Bob!

Hay Bob, I've been out of pocket for the last couple days - training - UGH! Anyway, I couldn't wait to get back on-line to see the latest news on how you are doing. Sounds like everything is going fine, with the exception of the hiccops. Sorry for that, but hopefully the "stomach tube" will fix that problem. Please know that you are in my thoughts all the time. It's so great that technology allows us to keep up with how things are going with you. Thank God for Karyn. I don't know her but from her postings, she is delightful. I'm sure you are very proud of her and I can see why. You are so blessed to have both Karyn and Debbie, as they are to have you. Hope things continue to go well. Sue

You have no idea how many times I've tried to get on this blog and tell how much everyone up here in North Kansas is praying for your situation. (I finally worked out the technical difficulties) Sarah and Josh have kept me aprized of your progress, and you know how pleased I am the way things are turning out for you.
